About
A restart, not a brand-new project
mySiteChart isn't built from a blank slate — it's a restart. Between roughly 2006 and 2013, an earlier version of this exact idea existed: a website directory with a built-in mini-toplist, where submitted sites were ranked by how much real traffic they actually sent each other — not by who paid the most, or who'd been around longest.
The original site eventually shut down, like so many small projects from that era do. But the core idea held up: a mutual, traffic-driven network between independent websites is still a good idea — there just aren't many places doing it anymore. In 2025–2026, it's been rebuilt from scratch with modern tools (Nuxt, Node.js, a real database instead of static files) — but with the same core idea as in 2006: inbound and outbound traffic both count, and the list updates itself as real visitors click around.
What mySiteChart is today
In short: you submit your website, it gets reviewed (or auto-approved if it meets the basic requirements — see How it works), and from there it's visible in a categorized directory and on the toplist itself, ranked by how much traffic it actually receives from other places on mySiteChart. There are badges to show off your ranking on your own site, and a simple hit counter you can embed.
We'd rather be honest than oversell it: this is still a fairly new/restarted project. Some parts are more polished than others right now, and new features keep landing — banners, more badge variants, better stats. But the core loop — submit, get listed, trade traffic with others — works today, and that's what matters most.
Made by MP-IT.dk
mySiteChart is built and run by MP-IT.dk — a small, independent dev shop behind several standalone web projects, not just mySiteChart. You'll find some of the others right below; they don't share code or data with mySiteChart, but they're part of the same small family of sites.
Sister projects
Four other, independent projects from the same small MP-IT family — none share code or data with mySiteChart, but they're made by the same team:
Sacred AI
A curated overview of AI tools and resources.
MP-IT
The dev shop behind mySiteChart and the other projects on this page.
DDD Favoritter
A Danish website directory and link collection.
Flixlar
A tool for adding captions to video.
Not built for our own benefit
Worth saying out loud here, not just in an internal planning document: mySiteChart is not built primarily to generate SEO value for our own other projects. It's first and foremost a genuine, standalone resource for independent webmasters who get real value from being listed, and from the traffic that actually gets traded. mySiteChart also linking to and from other MP-IT projects is an honest bonus for us — not the point.
